The Bass Clarinet is a very important member of the Concert Band as it plays all the bass lines and gives us a 'lower end'.

It is a very important member of bass section which is sometimes featured in our Band Songs

Without this 'lower end' our Band Songs are very dull and lifeless.  Next time you are listening to the radio, take a note of how the 'lower end' is used to add interest to the music.

Hi, I have the privilege of playing Bass Clarinet for the All Saints Concert Band this year.

I started playing Bb clarinet last year and I now also play the Bass Clarinet in Concert Band. I have found it fairly easy to adjust to playing the Bass Clarinet and I enjoy playing it very much.

As you will hear in the music file it plays a very important role in supporting the bass section.

Bass Clarinet players are always needed as they are somewhat rare and will always be in demand.

If you decide to study Bass Clarinet I am sure you will really enjoy it.
